The 21st Annual Italian Festival
at Seattle Center
Everyone is invited - Admission is free!
Every year, on the last weekend in September,
Festa Italiana culminates a week of Italian and Italian-American
activities with a giant family festival held on the grounds
of Seattle Center.
Entertainment:
Free live entertainment on three stages all day, both days,
including an entire Kidstage featuring puppet-show performances
of "La Cenerentola" (Cinderella) and the very popular
Piecora's Pizza Toss.
Giuliano Bugialli: Learn culinary
secrets from the masters at the "Great
Italian Chefs" cooking demonstrations outdoors in
the piazza. Starring Giuliano Bugialli; these demos feature
chefs from Seattle's best Italian restaurants.
DeLaurenti Bocce Tournament:
Now on four courts, this Italian version of lawn bowling is
the fastest growing sport in America, and one of the most
popular events at the festival.
Bolla Grape Stomp:
Jump in with both feet and make wine as they used to in the
old country. Put together a three-person team and compete
for great prizes!
Exhibits: Italian and
Italian-American arts and crafts, an classic Italian
Vehicle Show, a photo competition
of pictures of Italy, an Italian Film Festival,
and a chance to relive memories of Seattle's original Italian
families in the Historical Photo
Exhibit.
For Kids: An arts
& crafts "hands-on" activity sponsored by the
Seattle Art Museum.
Refreshments: Three Wine and Beer Gardens
plus a wine tasting!
Food: Pizza, Pasta, Italian Sausages,
Foccacia, Vino, Gelato, Zeppole, Espresso and more!
