FOTO
ITALIANA, an exhibit of contemporary photos of Italy.
Italy is a visual feast for photographers.
From the beaches of Viareggio to the magnificence of Milano,
Italy looks great on film! Festa Italiana Seattle 2007 will
once again be the site of FOTO ITALIANA, Fine Art Photographic
Images of Italy. Gallery show curator Larry Snyder Jr. has
brought together works from seven accomplished photographers,
including two who will have just returned from capturing new
and incredible views of Italy. FOTO ITALIANA begins
with a Gallery Opening on Friday, September 28th concurrent
with "The Taste of Italy,"
Wine Tasting and Opening ceremonies.
The location will be the
Seattle Center (Art) Pavilion directly south of the Key Arena
and west of the Flag Pavilion House. During the three day
gallery show visitors to FOTO ITALIANA will have an opportunity
to meet the artists and share some of your own Italy memories
and dreams. A portion of each Gallery purchase goes back to
support Festa Italiana Seattle. For additional information
or questions about FOTO ITALIANA, contact Curator Larry
Snyder Jr. at 206-407-7620 or email us by clicking

SEATTLE OPERA presents an
exhibit of costumes from Italian operas.
For
the season of 2007 - 2008 Seattle Opera will present four
consecutive operas, all in Italian! They are "The Italian
Girl in Algiers" by Rossini, "Don Giovanni"
by Mozart, Handel's "Julius Caesar," and arguably
the world's most popular opera "La Bohème"
by Puccini.
As
a special bonus for Festa attendees, costumes from all of
these productions and more will be on display at the Italian
Festival in the Seattle Center Pavilion adjacent to the exhibits
of Foto Italiana and the Italian Historical Photos. These
fabulous costumes can also be viewed by attending the "Taste
of Italy" on Friday night.
In
addition, there will also be a live "Preview" of
all four operas featuring vocalists from the Seattle Opera's
Young Artists Program and hosted by Jonathan Dean, at
4 PM on Saturday, September 23rd. Representatives from Seattle
Opera will be on hand all three days to answer your inquires
about attending any or all of the productions. To learn more
